Allez au Norfolk!
You have hopefully already spotted our latest release, the Tuesday EP from Norfolk country boy Luke Abbott, on sale in your local record shop now, or to buy on mp3 here. And if you head on over to the website of our new best friends Allez-Allez right now, there you will also find a rather tasty special guest mix from Luke Abbott to download, featuring a choice assortment of eclectica from the likes of Stereolab, Sebastien Tellier, Ash Ra Tempel, Motor, Sebastien Leger, and of course the excellent Luke Abbott himself.
If you haven’t been following the Allez-Allez story so far, by now they have amassed a considerable archive of well-worth-downloading podcast goodness on their site, including a recent guest mix from our original Norfolker Nathan Fake, as well as notable offerings from Lindstrom, Zombie-Zombie, Principles of Geometry, Hot Chip, Four Tet and singalong hero George Demure. Not to overlook the mixes from Allez-Allez boys Sam and Steve themselves, of course, which fully embrace that spirit of wanton musical diversity for which we so admire them: Sam’s Starship Traveller mix is an excellent place to start. And keep your eyes peeled for Allez-Allez DJ sets around London for a refreshing break from the minimal monotony and cheap indie-dance tat that otherwise dominates the city’s nightlife scene.
